Are you looking to take on a new leadership role and contribute to your Association? The following committees need you to take on the position of Chair and lead them in 2021/2022:
- The Nominations Committee requires a Chair to complete the important work of seeking nominations for the Board of Directors and CAPAL committee Chairs. They work with other members of this committee to run the BoD election every spring and communicate committee work throughout the year. Continuing volunteers on the Nominations Committee will support the new chair in their role. For more information, please see the Terms of Reference or contact Lori Giles-Smith (giles-smith@umanitoba.ca).
- The Publications Committee Chair provides oversight for external CAPAL publications including the Canadian Journal of Academic Librarianship/Revue canadienne de bibliothéconomie universitaire and also collects and posts conference proceedings to the CAPAL website. For more information, please see the Terms of Reference or contact Amanda Wheatley (amanda.wheatley@mcgill.ca)
Volunteering with CAPAL is a great way to network with your peers across Canada, shape the Association’s work, and fulfill your service obligations. If you are interested in taking on one of these important roles, please contact us by August 27 at capal.nominating.committee@gmail.com.
